Meet the L family.

They are very dear friends to our family. I’ve had the pleasure of capturing their maternity session, and baby Shy’s newborn session. Yesterday on Shy’s first birthday, after a quick series of family photos, they celebrated one amazing year of oh-so-loved Shy with a cake smashing session. How did a year go by so fast?!

Time to bring her beautiful cake out, made by Once Upon a Cake in Leduc. It was so much fun watching her enjoy her cake.

Sunset Love and a Proposal

Meet Mat, Abby, and Alex.

Next month, they will be welcoming a baby boy into their hearts and home. They are an amazing family.

Mat shares his love of music with Alex. I almost teared up as they sat together playing.

Alex has the BEST personality. This move is called the “Tea Cup”. She had all of us laughing through out the session.

Abby is stunning…

Mat and Abby have an incredible connection. It’s full of laughter, love, and respect. They compliment one another perfectly.

As our session was ending, Abby was told we had “one last photo”. As the sun was setting, Mat got down on one knee and asked the love of his life to marry him. As you can see from her expression, she said yes!

Alex was standing beside me, and she whispered with a giggle “Hey look, Dad is pretending to marry Mom.” When she realized this was a proposal she yelled out with excitement “I get to be the flower girl!”

Congratulations Mat, Abby, and Alex. Thank you so much for asking me to document this amazing time in your lives. Wishing you much love and laughter in the years to come. Amazing!

Shannon and Tim’s Connection

My passion for photographing Connection Sessions comes from a place of understanding and respect. Many couples that have been together for years don’t have many photos taken of just the two of them…especially when kids come along. Life turns into the hectic pace that comes when a family grows, and the photos they have to look back on are often snapshots during family vacations and while attending various functions. Of course those photos are as precious as any other, but Connection Sessions are all about capturing the love that grows between couples through out the years. That deepening love is something to cherish and celebrate.

I want you to have photos of the Connection that lies between just the two of you.

It’s the foundation for the life you have built together.
