I don’t have a good track record with plants, so to my amazement, my Christmas Cactus actually bloomed! That’s a big deal in my house and required a 30 minute session with just me, my blooming cactus, and my camera.
My thumb is turning green!
April 23, 2008 - 10:03 am - Love the second shot and the last shot! I'd be proud too...Christmas Cactus' are tough (and I worked for 10 years in the plant/flower industry....and I have yet to have one bloom!) Good for you!
April 23, 2008 - 11:19 am - My plants are all chosen on this basis: when it enters the house, it is left unwatered for 4-6 weeks. It is then given water. If it manages to survive that process repeatedly, it belongs in my house. If it fails to thrive (read: dies) under those conditions, then I guess that's just not the plant for me lol... Very pretty Christmas cactus, but you nkow, most of ours bloomed some time ago, hey? Must be all this snow...
